FortisTCI is preparing for the future of transportation in the Turks and Caicos Islands. In 2018, the company unveiled an EV and charging station pilot project to gather data and better understand the impact electric cars will have on the energy grid.

Fortis TCI’s 2017 Nissan Leaf Acenta is a 100% electric car with a 30kWh battery which, when fully charged, can drive up to 100 miles. With this range, no tailpipe pollution or greenhouse gas emissions, EVs are an ideal option for island economies to help to protect the planet and fight climate change.
